English Language (ESL)
Lessons in English language, uniquely designed for you. I use textbooks like the Cambridge Interchange series, which have lots of great conversation and grammar activities. Writing
Often children and teens struggle in their LA classes, especially with reading comprehension and writing for standardized school exams. I can address these issues and help students to succeed. My methods involve getting feedback from a student's teacher, and then engaging the student with interesting writing and reading activities. Grammar and test-taking practice is also necessary.
Writing is one of the most crucial skills for personal success. I work with young children, teens, and college students, helping them learn how to brainstorm, organize, draft, and edit. Regular writing practice is essential. I like story-writing and other activities which awaken students' imagination. I also coach students through the writing of assigned projects and essays; literary, research, narrative and persuasive essays are just a few examples.

I love teaching Spanish to students young and old! For younger students, I like to make use of charades, songs, and other fun learning activities. For older students and adults, I use role-play conversation practice, grammar practice, reading activities, story-writing, and games like Taboo and 20 Questions. I have some textbooks, though, which I use occasionally. Of course, if you're in a Spanish class and need support, your teacher's assignments will be the priority...but I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help you learn vocabulary and grammar in a memorable way. :)
Test Preparation: SAT, ACT, TOEFL
If you need help preparing for the reading and writing sections on the SAT/ACT, or if you are preparing for the TOEFL English exam, I'd be happy to help you. I use study materials directly from the test companies, and share with students all the tips I know for speed-reading, comprehension, timed writing prompts, and learning vocabulary.
